And its back to work, not that I mind to much, I actually really enjoy my job, I have a lot of time to do my own stuff,( like keeping up with UU, practicing my office Uke, and other really important things) while my computers are processing away. Was a little annoyed that a process I left running over the weekend had an out of memory error and only completed half of the task, so I need to get that back up and running, and see if what it did complete is correct or not.
Was a bit surprised to find my weight at 227.2 this am, not getting my hopes up too much, cause I know it will fluctuate up and down a bit, but as long as it stays on an average downward trend, I am happy.
Breakfast:
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup raisins
1 apple
1 TBS Honey.
Coffee (black, no sugar)
This is pretty much what I eat every morning, or at least it was until I went crazy for the holidays, and started back on eggs and bacon and toast and butter and ....... But now I am back eating a more sensible breakfast. That alone should be a big help in getting where I want to be.
For Center Stage:
This is what the instrument I started on back in the 80's looked like.
OK, so it is lunch time, and strangely, I am not very hungry, but will have a bit any way. Still working on the huge pot of vegetarian chili i made. think I will freeze the rest and take a break, a little variety would be nice.
Lunch:
3/4 cup Vegi Chili
1 handful nuts & berries mix
20 oz water
Afternoon Snack:
Banana
20 oz water
16 oz green tea
Dinner:
3 oz Chicken Kabob
3/4 cup Brown Rice
Small Greek Salad
16 oz water
3 oz Chicken Kabob
3/4 cup Brown Rice
Small Greek Salad
16 oz water
I hear ya, Mike. I eat the same every morning, but the holidays killed me. I had omelets, scrambled, over easy, bacon, sausage, you name it. From now on it will be the boring whey protein shake.
ReplyDeleteAn office uke. Great. Are there others in the office?
I was down also today. As long as I am less than the day before, I am happy. Better to have dropped even a tenth of a pound as compared to gaining it.
I was going to ask what you do in your job? I could not figure it out from the title.
Being able to have the Uke here is great, but no, no one else has one, I am pretty sure they think I am a little crazy, but I am the old guy here, so they think I am a little crazy anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe simple definition of what we do is mapping from aerial photography. Back in the old days we would actual take film positive photos, with 60% forward overlap to give a stereo effect. We would put them in a very large instrument, to view in stereo, and draw a map of the are in 3d.
Now days, pretty much everything is digital, so a lot more processing and a lot less hands on. Most of what I do now is the actually imagery side of it. We do a lot of ortho rectified imagery for counties and stuff. If you have ever been on Google earth, a lot of our stuff is on there, because the counties give it to Google for free.
Your work sounds very cool. I love looking at aerial maps. As for the stereo imagery, just yesterday, my parents brought over some long lost and forgotten slides of my second birthday (I am 58 so that is how long they have been lost and forgotten). there are two slides on on the mount and you put them into a viewer and see them as 3D. I kids were amazed that they "had that technology in the 50's" ;-)
