Day 11 UUBL: Spring 2012

I cannot express how happy I am at the results I have been getting so far, as well as the other UUBLers out there. Today I am down 14 pounds from my starting weight, from 230.3 to today's weight of 216.3. The best part is that this is all sustainable, and the meals are enjoyable real food. No, shakes, pill, starvation, or gimmicky stuff, just less quantity of higher quality foods.

Today my Uke classes start back up, so it will be great to get back into that.

Breakfast:
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup raisins
1 apple
1 TBS Honey.
Coffee (black, no sugar)

24oz water

Lunch:
2 slices Med Veg Pizza

48oz water

Dinner:
1 cup Chicken Stir fry
2/3 cup brown rice

Snack:
Banana

  1. This is great news and I am with you on the no gimmick stuff. I never liked Oatmeal so that is out for me. Sometimes for breakfast I will have eggbeaters but they don't fill me up unless I have some meat and potatoes with them (that is where I get into trouble). then the butter, then the coffee, etc. I started drinking the whey protein shake about three years ago and right now, every person in my family does that. It is just so delicious, filling, easy. Other than that- everything I eat is whole foods. I find that once I detox all of the salt, sugar and fat from my system, I no longer crave those things. And then, eating fruit and veggies is very satisfying. The trouble is when I cheat and eat a cake or dessert or something with a lot of sugar. Then I just want more and more. The one example I use to explain my addiction is the potato chip. I am addicted to them. And think about it, they are all fat, salt, and starch (sugar). I can't stop. So, I just don't even have one. It is like a drug. I have to just say, "no".

    1. Eggbeaters never filled me up either, that is one reason I went to the oatmeal. I just dump in a few raisins, and cut up the apple and cook it all up together, and then drizzle the honey over top, and it is very filling.

Are the protein shakes you use, some kind of a mix? or do you mix it all up your self?

I know exactly what you mean on the cravings, that is how I ended up being back at 230, after holding to 190 for over a year. I hope not to make that same mistake again,
