And day 4 is upon us.
I was really hoping to get out and walk/jog/bike, or something yesterday, but I found myself completely drained by the time I got home from work. I guess the reduced calorie input is having a bit of an effect. That, and the fact that it was cold and rainy, didn't help either. Will have to double my effort today.
Down to 225.4 this morning, but these are the easy pounds. Not sure what my calorie intake was during the holidays, but I suspect I have easily cut it in half . I also give a little credit to that fact that I cut off about 8 inches of beard yesterday, when my lovely wife informed me she wasn't all that fond of the mountain man look. :) Ah well. She wasn't too crazy about my handlebar mustache faze last year either.
I had planned on this even before I new about the UUBL, but I must say, doing it with a group like this really does make it a bit easier, and defiantly more enjoyable, than going it alone.
I quick thanx to glass for introducing me to the lose it! app. I think it is going to be another useful tool in getting to my goal. If I am doing it right, I only took in 1485 calories yesterday.
Breakfast:
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup raisins
1 apple
1 TBS Honey.
Coffee (black, no sugar)
Any one who isn't using the Lose it! app, should really try it out, I just found out that it will sync from my droid to my account on Loseit.com, so I can access it from anywhere. Really liking it so far.

Lunch:
3 oz Chicken Kabob
1/2 cup Brown Rice
1 handful Fruit & Nut mix
24 oz water
Went for a 20 min ride when I got home this evening, had hoped to get a bit more in, but once the sun went down, the temp dropped fast, and I was freezing in only a t-shirt and shorts, so i cut it short, I guess 20 min is better than what I did last night though.
cup black coffee, no sugar
Dinner:
3 oz chicken
1 med greek sald
3/4 cup steamed broccoli
16 oz water
I think that rain is heading this way. I love to walk but I hate cold weather. We have been really lucky with moderate temps, so I will go for a walk in about an hour, when it warms up a bit and before that North Carolina rain gets here. Another thing about the walks is that with all of the liquid I am consuming ( 48 oz for breakfast), I really can't get far from home, if you know what I mean. The dog has no problems-- this one time I would love to be the dog.

And you are right, Mike, these are the easy pound. I hate when you diet and exercise all day and just stay the same. I am expecting that point for me to be at the 190 lbs mark. This morning I was at 197.2. Still a ways to go.

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I know exactly what you mean, and on top of that, I take blood pressure meds, that compound that problem even more. LOL
The weather is nicer here today, I may try and take a stroll at lunch, instead of waiting till evening.
looks like you are cutting down on the meat portions while I seem to be increasing. but still, I don't feel that I ate enough today and I am having cravings tonight. This might be the night to head to bed early. Keep going Mike. the good diet and exercise will only make everything better.
