Well, it is hump day, and it really feels like it. I am having a terrible time getting going this morning, I feel like I have no energy, Hopefully after I get a little fuel in me, I will feel a bit better.
Still working on getting the exercise in full swing. Maybe today is the day.
Weight is down to 223.8 this am, so currently the loss is pretty steady,
Went and got my son signed up for his Uke lessons yesterday, so he is all excited about that. they will start on the 16th. He really loved the last session, and he practices everyday, so it looks like at least one of the kids has been infected with the bug. :)

ReplyDeleteAbout those lessons, how many lessons in a session and what kind of things are they covering, is he using a book? I have only played uke for 8 months but earned a K-12 instrumental teaching certificate in college in the late 80s. Starting to kick around the idea of offering private lessons for beginners.
There are 6 lessons in a session, and he runs 4 sessions a year. Spring, Summer Winter and Fall. He provides a book of his own. For beginners, he starts out with just familiarizing with the uke, and some basic chords and strums, then builds on that in later classes, and adds picking, and what have you. we were actually able to play a song after only the first class, very simple of course. Here is a link to what he offers. http://alohau.com/index.php?akahai=classes
ReplyDeleteOK, apparently links don't work in the comments I will put one up in the main post.
