Today is the first day of my foray into the world of blogging. Brought about by a recommendation that it would be a good way to keep track of my progress in the UUBL:Spring 2012 Edition. We shall see.
I will say, if it were not for my recently found love of the Ukulele, this would not be a reality. It will be interesting to see if it catches on.
1 year ago, having completely changed my diet, to a Mediterranean based one, I had managed to get my weight down to 190 lbs, great from the 260 lbs I had attained. Unfortunately, due to several things, such as trying to save money, and losing a bit of will power, I find myself today, back at 230.3 lbs. Not at all where I want to be. So, I joined with others on the Ukulele Underground, to try and lose some weight in the biggest losers contest. Main goal is to lose weight, but the added bonus of possibly winning a Uke, is major motivation.
I have no specific goal in mind for the UUBL contest, but my eventual goal is to get to 160 lbs, and maintain that.
So, here is my first weigh in, and what I have eaten today.
Breakfast:
1/2 cup Oatmeal
1 apple
1/4 cup raisins
1 TBS honey
Coffee (Black, no sugar)
Lunch:
6 oz Tuna in water
4 Sociable Crackers
6 black olives
6 green olives
1 clementine.
16 oz water
Dinner:
1 cup Vegetarian Chilli
I slice bread w/olive oil.
16 oz water
